SUMMER UPDATE: Everything I Love in June and July

Spread the love

Hey Everyone!

I can’t believe how fast time is flying this summer.

Have you had any exciting outdoor adventures or rejuvenating experiences? Have you explored any national parks, scenic trails, and beautiful beaches?

Whether you’re planning to travel or stay local, the long, sunny days provide ample opportunity for picnics, barbecues, and stargazing nights.

This season is honestly the perfect time for reconnecting with nature and loved ones, creating cherished memories, and soaking up the warmth and positive energy of summer.

Summer Deck Parties

I’m a regular deck party kind of girl. There’s nothing like staying home or visiting friends and family for a simple afternoon get together. This was my latest summer deck party bites -cantaloupe, watermelon, apples, cubed cheese and social biscuits…

Summer Drinks

I’ve tried a few different drinks this season that I’m loving…

The Tiramisu Cold Brew is not too sweet, but honestly just right. The coffee was strong too, I had the jitters!

The Starbuck Iced Oat Latte was sweet from the Hazelnut syrup and the Lavender Cold foam was perfect.

The Bacardi RUM Punch is a sweet, tropical flavor with a zesty kick of oranges.

Summer Outfits

Another thing I love are chic summer outfits. It’s all about balancing style with comfort. Allowing you to look effortlessly fashionable, even during the hottest months.

Here are a few ideas to inspire your summer wardrobe:

Summer dresses… Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton or linen in vibrant floral prints or subtle pastel shades. Pair them with flat sandals for a daytime look, and switch to wedges and statement earrings for an evening out.

Tailored shorts in neutral tones like white, beige, or navy can be incredibly versatile. Pair them with a chic blouse, a lightweight button-down shirt or even a simple cotton tucked-in tank top for a casual look.

Add a pair of strappy sandals and a tote bag to finish the look. Earthy tones like olive, beige, and terracotta are particularly trendy.

One-piece outfits like jumpsuits and rompers are not only comfortable but also chic. Look for pieces with interesting details like ruffles, cut-outs, or unique back designs. A jumpsuit in a bold color or an elegant pattern can easily become a statement piece. Pair with platform sandals and a crossbody bag for an easy, stylish look.

Business Life

It’s been a relatively calm summer so far, and I’m absolutely enjoying it.

None of our tenants are moving out right now, so I don’t have to spend a week cleaning any apartments. That’s kind of a win for me!

The new rent increase was just announced in June, so my Type A personality has me prepared. I’ll probably have everything ready in advance for next year’s increases. Unfortunately, our bills keep rising, and we don’t want to fall behind, even though I truly hate sending out rent increases.

Chronic Pain

If you experience chronic pain like I do, you know how unpredictable it can be. Recently, I’ve been inconsistent with my physiotherapy exercises, and it’s time to get back on track. Otherwise, I end up with headaches, dizziness, and, of course, more pain.

Since I started Wall Pilates with Jeana on You Tube in February, I’ve had significantly less lower back pain, and my legs have never looked better! If you’re looking for relief from back pain or just want toned legs, you should definitely try Wall Pilates. This is the first video I started out with.

A TIP: Don’t start if you have to work the next day, or ease into the exercises gradually. I could barely move for 4-5 days because I used muscles I didn’t even know I had!
