Finding Peace in Life:
Figuring It Out Through Slow, Intentional Living

Finding Peace in Life is Not Easy
Finding peace in life hasn’t been easy for me. Life has always felt like an uphill climb. I built my dreams around the idea of reaching the next milestone: making a million dollars, retiring at 40, achieving everything I thought would make me feel complete.
Meanwhile, every other girl my age seemed to be enjoying the small, fun things in life — cute makeup, new clothes, nail ideas, simple pleasures I never paused to notice. For a long time, I honestly thought something was wrong with me… and maybe there was.
Why Finding Peace in Life Feels Hard
Now, at 40, we made it happen. The financial goals, the career milestones, the “success” I’d been chasing for 15–20 years — all checked off. And yet… something still feels missing.
What is it? Why do I never feel fully at home in my own life?
Chronic Pain and Life’s Challenges
Chronic pain has added another layer of challenge. Some days it’s just enough to get through the basics, and the dreams I built around achievement feel hollow when my body refuses to cooperate. I realized that maybe all the rushing, all the striving, wasn’t giving me what I truly wanted: peace, calm, happiness.
Starting Over: Slow, Intentional Living
So here I am, starting over in a sense. Starting to notice what really matters. Starting to think about slow, intentional living and finding joy in simple moments.
I don’t know yet. But this is the beginning of figuring it out — journaling thoughts, noticing small joys, practicing gratitude, and exploring mindful ways to live calmer, happier, healthier days.
Journaling, Gratitude, and Small Joys
Maybe the answer isn’t a destination or a goal. Maybe it’s in the quiet mornings, the warm coffee, the light through the window, and the tiny rituals that make life feel softer. Maybe it’s about giving myself permission to stop chasing and start noticing.
This blog is where I’ll share those moments — the discoveries, the missteps, the small joys, and the lessons along the way. It’s about figuring life out, slowly, gently, and honestly. And if you’re here, maybe you’re asking some of the same questions I am.
What does home feel like for you? What small moments make your day better? How do you find peace when the world feels too loud?
I don’t have all the answers. But I’m starting to explore them — one day, one thought, one gentle step at a time.
